House Bill 24 – House Amendment 1

From the 153rd General Assembly, this Act updates the Town of Delmar’s charter to improve voter access and financial flexibility. It lowers the residency requirement for voting in town elections from six months to 30 days and adopts Delaware’s State Voter Registration System, while allowing the town to exclude ineligible voters. Additionally, it increases the Town Council’s authority to issue bonds via resolution from $1 million to $10 million, supporting future infrastructure and community investments.
