House Bill 41

Richard G. Collins
House Bill 41

From the 153rd General Assembly, this Act makes small but important changes to how the Town of Millsboro handles annexation (adding land to the town) and how its Town Council forms committees.

  • Annexation Requests:
Before the Town Council reviews a petition to annex land, town staff must first check that the petition is complete. This adds a layer of review to make sure everything is in order.
  • Committee Formation:
The President of the Town Council now needs approval from a majority of council members when appointing committees. Also, any council member can suggest forming a new committee—making the process more collaborative.
